my next life changing pizza

Once again, the Nomerati's using us as guinea pigs in testing out new recipies, not sure, are you still a guinea pig if you're a very willing participant? Any how, for all their worring about it, the deep dish pizza came out amazing. And for the record, a slice and a half later I had to crawl out of the apartment on my hands and knees. That's how filling it was.
What was that Lady Gaga said? "once you pick a tomato, you gotta make a pizza"
Something like that.
Now this is the life, good friends, good beer and amazing food.

i don't care what anyone says, i still think kitty is plotting my demise.

Cincy Fringe is over and done now, since you can't really photograph a play the only visible remains are the new mural on the south wall of the Know Theatre and a van that was done up in the parking lot.

downtown ain't dead yet for all the talking the media does otherwise

the brewhaha on twitter yesterday, i mentioned one thing i do not miss riding the bus is the radio, its just so negative. so this morning i need to drive in and i have 96 on and the two negative morning guys are talking about Giants people in town talking about how amazing downtown is and all the stuff thats going on. pretty cool right?
wrong, the guys on the radio ask, "are we missing something? nothing is happening downtown, as a matter of fact, Havana Martini and Blue Wisp are closing."
never mind the fact Havana isn't really closing so much as changing. and Blue Wisp? it may move to Clifton who knows. the point being i said no one goes to Blue Wisp anyhow and a couple people jumped in talking about how its nice to relax, no one knows you or talks to you, its not a bar to be seen blah, blah, blah.
BULL i say, if I wanted to sit in the dark by myself i could stay at home. When i go out i want to talk to deipnosophists over real drinks and food.

but back to the radio, no wonder people with long commutes have the worse attitudes, if i had to listen to those guys everyday i'd be super negative on the city too. don't forget, they have a vested interest in people living out in the exburbs, the farther your drive the longer you have to listen to the radio.
and their anti streetcar bias? yeah, i doubt they're gonna have a radio in the streetcar.

Interor design, Architecture and design, everything at the end-of-year, best-in-show exhibit lived up to DAAP's award winning, world renown status.

DAAPWorks 2010

One of the biggest joys in life is seeing family and friends succeed. My oldest niece graduated last Sunday, and our favorite socially responsible blogger friend Jenny is graduating this Saturday. But before that can happen the senior show has to happen so last night we made our way to Clifton and DAAP for DAAPWorks 2010. Of course Jenny's project was incredible and walking around checking out everyone elses I was completely gobsmacked at the amount of talent concentrated in DAAP.
Good job Jenny, I think you'll do ok.

Everyone always askes, "5chw4r7z, how do you stay in shape eating all those Big N' Tastys?" Turns out little did I or anyone else know, the Big N' Tasty has actually been the secret to my success.

I have to say, at first blush this McDonalds looked nice. But by time I was done eating I was thinking, damn is this place filthy. I don't get it, if other high traffic restaurants can stay clean, whats the deal here? It almost has to be cultural doesn't it?
