Since A Tavola had a door open Saturday I stepped in and took a few pictures. Not much to see yet, a clean modern interior dominated by the huge made in Italy wood fired oven. It has a nice open feel, double so on a sunny afternoon as the place is well lit with natural light.
I love these rough cut wooden tables.
Just like a BOF in the old steel mills, once they warmed this oven up they can't let it cool, even on off days the beast will need fed.

Hard to believe the first Summer Celebration the organizers were estatic that a couple hundred people showed up, now just 3 years later Vine St was wall to wall people. The 5k run has alot to do with it I'm sure, but still the amount of people there watching the bands, wandering through the increasing amount of craft vendors plus food and beverage was impressive.

But you know what, its also social and the closet cigar smokers are slowly coming back out of hiding.
A few Fridays ago Cincinnati Profile hosted a cigar and bourbon tasting and the Secret Cigar Society dropped in to check it out.
Last Friday we got a good idea what to expect this summer as the Bella Vite Wine Tasting progressed.
People complain I never give a heads up of upcoming events, you know, that would be a full time job, a job I'm not interested in doing.

I'm not a wine drinker so some Sam Adams and Psychodots on stage and I was good.
Cincinnati Rollergirls Black Sheep took on the Steel City Derby Demons and the Silent Lambs stomped on the Ohio Valley Roller Girls of St. Clairsville last Saturday night. The Derby Demon's are so bad ass they have two names, the Steel Hurtin'.
The first match was a little of a yawn fest as OVRG was totally outmatched. The final score, 234-18 is that a record for the Silent Lambs?
