The first time I went in Avril-Bleh after they opened I thought, whats the point? They didn't have anything I couldn't get at Walgreens or Sunshine and the hours weren't all that great.
But now it looks like they are continually adding more product and it's starting to make sense.
Now about those hours...

Friday night fun; Fountain Square, t-shirts and outsider art
There was just to much going on downtown last Friday, it was hard to decide what to do. The NAACP had packed up and left although there still seemed to be huge crowds on Fountain Square, and of course the Reds were also in town. The T-Shirt Fest was interesting, the creativeness of people poking fun at or cheer leading Cincinnati was good to see. A couple of these such as Wire+Twine have been featured on national blogs.
Shawn told me he was there all day slaving away, but I have photographic proof thats not true.
Onto 4th Street and AVSArt for Kevin White's exhibit. After seeing a show at the Nicholas Gallery I've been interested in outsider art, and while that seems to be a controversial term, its widely used in the art community.
As an aside I was so taken in at the first show I went to I got a piece by Courtney Cooper.
I really liked Mr Whites show, he's got something there, bright primary colors, stylized animals and tons of smiley faces that I really loved, if I could only talk Ms 5chw4r7z into Turtle Farm...

But AM or PM does it make a difference? It was is freakin hot.
Sidewinder Cafe
Not a bad place to hang out and relax for breakfast is the Sidewinder Cafe, except for one huge drawback.
I can't walk there.
Still searching for that Saturday moring place, although I must say, in general the people in the Northside tend to be just a little more ineresting than the people downtown. If the Northside was only downtown where everything else is, it would be perfect.
Parker Flats Friday
They are busy drywalling my end of Parker Flats now.

Seems I'm on a burger quest lately and City View's have been the best I've had. And the cheapest. Is there a correlation there? Sitting out on the deck wasn't unbearable either last night with a good breeze blowing up the hill.

Not sure how they that result from the questions they asked, but judging from the fact that the results of the survey add up to 136%, maybe the test writers weren't all that bright. Can more than a 100% of the people taking the test take the test?

Beer Sellar Newport Kentucky
Now this is what I'm talking about, its nothing special, but we weren't looking for anything special. The Beer Sellar delivered what we wanted and what we expected at the price we thought it should be. Thats exactly what every restaurant should do no matter who their target is. Any wonder we enjoyed the $6 burgers more than the $100+ dinner last week?
