The Tony the Tiger spoon

I remember growing up I always had to use a certain spoon and bowl or I couldn't fully enjoy my cereal. Now thats getting to be a long time ago so I can't remember exactly but I swear it was a Tony the Tiger spoon. Fast forward a few years to today and at the office in the morning I'll be frantically digging for my favorite spoon and Brodi3man always ends up walking in laughing and asking if I'm looking for my Tony the Tiger spoon.
There is no moral to this story or funny twist, just me and my OCD and the fact my brother MPC got me one of the best birthday presents ever.

Little Kings Broomball

Broomball on Fountain Square! Yes its that time of year again and that hockey game in Michigan had nothing on Fountain Square last night with heavy snow falling. Interesting after that intense cold earlier in the week that they would be on the ice in rather warm (for January) conditions. But sadly the Little Kings dropped anotheer one point game after hanging two balls bounce off the bar out of the net instead of into it.
Next week baby, next week.

Sleepy Bee Cafe

The Sleepy Bee Cafe is a comfortable new cafe in Oakley serving breakfast and lunch. We dropped in for one of each, I got breakfast and Ms. 5chw4r7z lunch. The food was good the coffee hot, how much more you can ask than that.
Sleepy Bee and a couple other places got me thinking the other day. All the new restaurants/cafes/coffee shops these days are putting as much thought into the design of the space as they are their food. Our visual senses are stimulated as much as taste and smell.
How lucky are we to be living in these times?

Cincinnati has a colder wind chill than the South Pole!

So I'm pacing around the condo like a caged lion. I can see the river smoking and I want to go down and take some pictures.
But its also f#@king -2 out there. I feel like the guy in the Bud Light commercials right. The guy who's afraid to go back into the basement, or hates the song that's playing or has the loud buddy. But he does what he has too anyhow.
Mostly I was thinking about Ronnie over at Queen City Discovery.
Would he let a little discomfort get in the way of an incredible photo op?
I don't think so.
So I bundled up and captured this. It was worth every second.
Man what is it about subzero Artic air that makes you feel ALIVE?
Even realizing that I was kneeling in goose poop didn't cool my good mood.
Last night Steve Horstmeyer called this Artic sea smoke.

snow dogs

People say winter storm warning like its a bad thing.
We had plans to meet Christina, fresh off the plane from Africa, in OTR for dinner at Senate to catch up. I was just a little worried when we made plans about getting seated, then the snow rolled in.
The only thing that would have tripped us up is if everyone had realized how easy it would be to get into their favorite OTR restaurant.
But that didn't happen.
