Cincinnati Supper Club: The Twenty Third

Bianca and Shawn hosted last night in their Hyde Park home. The served up a South African Braai style dinner that was fabulous.
It still amazes me and reinforces the idea behind the these dinners, we have a few new people every time and they all have a blast.
People still crave shared genuine experiences and a good story.

I love that theres never a dull moment around the foodhussy, I'm sure she must hate me by now though, I always capture her with a priceless look on her face.

Cincinnati Supper Club

Another awesome Cincinnati Supper Club last night, but I must say Scott needs to work on the acoustics of his place.
couldn't hear yourself think, next time I'm showing up early and we've stapling egg cartons on the walls.
Most heard phrase, I did this whole dinner for 85 bucks and since it was hand gesture Wednesday some handwaving was included.
Great food, people and food, thanks again Scott.


Holding a beer and snapping pictures with the off hand is not recommended.

I don't know why, with all the Irish themed food, towards the end of the night I'm like Scott is Irish!?!

There was almost a fight for the empty spider monkey wine bottle.

Cincinnati Supper Club: The TwentyFirst

This may be the farthest out we've trek'd but it was worth it, Rachel and Kevin have a beautiful historic Glendale home.Showing us around you could hear in their voices just how proud of it they were.
The food was fantastic, I'm bad with this stuff, so hopefully someone *cough*foodhussy*cough* will leave a comment and remind me what it was. A stew type meat and beans dish, delish.

UPDATED:UPDATE: For some reason mulligatawny sounds Irish to me.

This isn't just about the recession, but "creative types" I cringe whenever I hear that let alone say it, reject the need to keep up with the Jones and instead crave an honest authentic experience and ultimately this is what the Cincinnati Supper Club is, a story trumping a thing.

Cincinnati Supper Club: The Twentieth

After a week delay due to weather, we finally got in the Cincinnati Supper Club. Perched high atop a steep Price Hill hill is Steve cool house. The views are absolutely sunning. The food was excellent as was the company.



We didn't plan this, honest.

Cincinnati Supper Club: The Nineteenth

Thanks again Heather for opening up your home to the Cincinnati Supper Club and after only attending one, what a brave soul.
Loved your quirky house, everyone said that house is you, I'm marking that down as a compliment.
I was so happy, the gathering was almost entirely new people, it could have easily ended in disaster but the interest is there for new people, new food and new conversations. Thanks everyone who was able to make it at this busy time of year.

Eighteenth Cincinnati Supper Club

Thanks to John and Ken for opening their awesome home to the Cincinnati Supper Club last night and cooking a fabulous meal. Some old friends we hadn't seen in awhile and a bunch of new ones with one thing in common, a passion for food and conversation. The dinner was held in an old bar, what a neat space, and the wood stove, hit the spot on a chilly night.
And it seems first timer Heather had some extra Supper club excitement after leaving the party.

Cincinnati Supper Club XVII

The Seventeenth Cincinnati Supper Club gathering at Mary's always warm and comfy home was another fantastic evening with interesting conversation. I got a really cool overview of jet engines, engineers aren't always boring!

Cincinnati Supper Club XVI

Thanks Kathy for hosting this month's Supper Club.
After Jackie left I was worried that these would come to an end but its taken on a life of its own and looks like it will continue. Good food, good company and they saved me the heels! Yum my favorite part of the bread.
