Walk on Woodburn

Walk on Woodburn, held in East Walnut hills in conjunction with every Manifest Gallery art opening highlights all the shops along Woodburn Ave. The street's businesses, restaurants, galleries, and brewery are staying open late for a night of mingling, dinner, drinks, fine art, and conversation.
For the Welcome Home Exhibition Opening at the Ledge Gallery Maya Drozdz quoted Bill Bryson, "... the places in which we have experienced daydreaming reconstitute themselves in a new daydream..." And said the installation was a recreation of her former apartment. This to me was an interesting statement because I don't imagine her this formal. But you never know.

I didn't realize it at the time, not until I looked at this picture, some of the mugs are left handed!

Manifest Gallery opened with two new exhibits: 4th Annual DRAWN, and Sinners and Saints by Jessica Teckemeyer. You have to check out this show at Manifest, The drawing in Drawn were mindblowing and it was hard to tell they weren't photographs. Jessica Teckemeyer's sculptures were spot on, I loved her humor and the expressions on the cats faces were spot on.

Checked out the new Gomez location, same great taste but you can hang out and eat. And have a beer. They've streamilined the menu so you can order one of four types of turtle without all the angst over what you really want. I recommend the turtle Diablo style!
