the graves of old garages

Pogues Garage is gone and I've been enjoying views that haven't been since since the ugly thing was built in the first place.
They better not screw the new development up, we'll be looking at it for the next 60+ years.

This view of 4th St is so beautiful its kind of a shame that it will disapear again later this summer.

  1. Unfortunately a bland apartment building that would be more at home in West Chester will probably replace the garage.

    1. Why the cynicism? Seriously, for any new building that is proposed in Cincinnati's urban core, the standard prediction is "it's going to be a bland piece of crap that looks like something from the suburbs." Can't judgement wait until the appearance of the building is known?

I've seen the drawings for this project, and it will be a high-rise building fitting the intensely urban site, not at all the kind of thing built in the suburbs of Cincinnati.

    2. I'm going to remain optimistic until proven otherwise!
If it looks like the renderings I'll be happy.

  2. West 4th is very underrated, great area. Fingers crossed for the new building to be a winner.
