Cincinnati Streetcar possible start date

Per John Schneider, "Looks like the Cincinnati Streetcar may open on Thursday, September 1, 2016. The Cardinals come to town the next day for a three-game series with the Reds. Sunday. September 4th is Riverfest, drawing half a million people to downtown and adjacent areas. Oktoberfest, which drew 650,000 people to downtown last year, is September 16-18th."

I hope someone realizes the streetcar should run for free during Oktoberfest and Riverfest, the system would get buy-in from literally a million skeptical people who only come downtown once or twice a year.

UPDATE: OK, John and others said it could open as soon as September 1st but I'm hearing from other well placed people that isn't likely so I guess we'll have to reset that to the original date of September 16th.
