Save our Icons

Two years ago I had the opportunity to take a backstage tour, if you will, of The Muesum Center at Union Terminal. I got a close up look of a building literally disintegrating in front of my eyes. I can't imagine the situation has gotten any better for the building.
Which brings us to 2014 and the County Commissioners.
The commissioners are debating about whether to allow Hamilton County citizens the right to vote on a sales tax to help fund repairs to both the Union Terminal and Music Hall. I'm not going to debate anyone on whether the buildings need money, they do. What I want to shine a light on is conservative groups who always claim to support the Constitution are actively working to block an up or down vote.
I can only guess they don't feel a Democratic Election will go the way they want.
So whether you believe a sales tax should be used as a vehicle to fund repairs or not, you should believe that you have a right to vote on it.
