Christ-ian Moerlein time

Christmas 2011

The tokens are out of stock now, Moerlein sold 1,000 sets in two weeks.
Each of the tokens is redeemable for one Moerlein draft beer at the Moerlein Lager House.
How cool would it be if they expanded it to include a Moerlein beer at any bar in the city?

  1. Very cool, though it's quite the bummer that you have to give them back if you redeem them.

  2. I'm probably going to keep one, I wonder how many of these won't make it back in circulation. There are only 5,000 of them out there.

  4. Beer tokens. One token equals one Moerlien beer in the new Moerlien Ale House.

They sold out 1,000 sets in two weeks.

  5. Wow... I also missed the news about these. But this is an awesome idea. The topic of local currency comes up every now and then as a way to keep money within the community and support local businesses. Moerlein is not only doing that, but probably generating a good profit from people that will keep a token or two unredeemed.
