The Q
The #1 up and coming neighborhood in Cincinnati hands down and as you would expect there's always something going on construction wise, it just keeps getting better and better.
The most exciting development right now besides the streetscapes project is a new bar/restaurant opening soon.
The Senate billed as a gastro pub with some twists on the usual fare such as lobster burgers.
And if they're reading my blog, may I suggest rabbit corn dogs?
Hey you read it here first. Rabbit corn dogs will be the new cupcake.
Or not.
And Outside has new stuff in, OK, it may seem a weird time to be buying stuff for outside, but hey it works, go check them out.
One more gem to pass along. Dan at Park+Vine keeps finding new ways to make me love him. As a certified coffee snob for years I've ordered Honduran coffee over the internet, inky, oily black, man that stuff is incredible. Well last time I ordered it was on back order, no word when it would be in. I remembered an email from P+V about carrying a whole bean coffee blended up just for them roasted locally.
BAMM! gotta new favorite.
Bonus #2 P+V is a block off my bus route and soon to be that close to a streetcar stop.
UPDATE: tonight The Q is hosting GrapeVine (get it? Vine St) The merchants of The Gateway Quarter have a special wine with each participating merchant having a different wine. For November they are featuring "Wines that Pair with Turkey"[where: 45202]cincinnati ohio downtown

La Terza coffee is the best in Cincinnati. Chuck does an amazing job of actually working with the farmers who grow the beans. Then he roasts everything himself in small batches. Attention to detail leads to a beautiful cup of coffee. Glad to see Park+Vine is carrying his stuff.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice looking sign jutting out from Senate. I notced that the streetscaping has moved all the way north to Trinity Flats. It will be great to see development stretching from Central Parkway to Liberty.
ReplyDeleteI'm SUPER excited about Senate. It will be nice to have another dinner/drink option within walking distance! To be honest, though, I'd be happy with just a plain old corndog--hold the rabbit.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree about Chuck's La Terza coffee... great, great, and great. Though, I haven't tried his Park + Vine variety.
5chw4r7z, I just recently bought an electric tea kettle and have a pound of hot chocolate mix left over from work. I think you should do a post on the mean hot chocolate I make.
ReplyDeleteIs it photogenic?
