People been telling me for months I need to try Mayday for their hotdogs, and I'd be yeah, we'll get there one day.
Last Saturday, with the rollergirls holding a benefit to help cover traveling costs was that day. Along with the local stormtroopers garrison you couldn't get a more geeked out crowd than Mayday last Saturday night.

The rollergirl version of family feud. Lots of rollergirl trivia until the final team played the rollergirls then it got NSFW. Hilar though, if they do it again we're putting together a twitter team.

These dogs were better than Senate's at 60% the price. This is more like it, you can actually eat without selling a kidney to pay for it. Mayday is divier though, doesn't have Senate's sophistication, but you're there for the spicy sweet mouthwatering hotdogs at a reasonable price right?

Walking up to the square and who do we spot right off? Matt from Higher Level Art, turns out they have an artist there every Friday sponsored by Vitamin Water and MPMF painting Fountain Square inspired pieces.
a Holla to Matt turns into a Genius of Water tutorial with two women from Louisiana who were surprised to find Cincinnati as hot and humid as their home town was when they left. Yep, I've always heard Cincinnati was the northern most southern city.

Parker Flats Friday

Yesterday the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments was on the roof shooting video to put together an information piece to educate area leaders and people on the replacement bridge.
I have a better idea for reducing congestion on the bridge, put a toll on it, if people really want and need it they should be willing to pay for it right? And don't give me any crap on we need it for the economy, the study they did showed for every dollar invested in the bridge it will return $0.28 in benefit. Now they way I figure it the streetcar is going to return $2.78 and the CAVE* men say thats a boondoggle, and its gonna have a return 9 times better than the bridge so how much of a waste is the bridge to nowhere?
It was kind of interesting watching everything go by, can't believe I didn't get the camera up fast enough for the helicopter on the truck.

later on with all my yuppie free time and disposable income we were off to Soho for some sushi. You need the disposable income that only a McyD's hamburger flipper can earn to eat at Soho. Or so some people would have you believe.

Still trying to figure out if I eat wasabi for the sushi or sushi for the wasabi

People see me walking around with a camera and ask if I'm a photographer. Not sure what they mean by that, I take pictures.
I usually give them that Mark Twain quote, "you can cut down a thousand trees, doesn't make you a lumberjack"
Or was that Confucius?
At any rate I don't have the money for all the fancy equipment so I just kick around and worry about mood.

But every once in awhile I get that one picture, I think, I could crush this camera right now, it'll never get better than this.

breakfast, the day started like any other but somewhere we're never been, the Comet with the Pandaman and all the other usual suspects. someone described it to me as the anti TtC and that's a good description, the bar food of breakfast. not a bad thing, just what was is all. Even if I was staring the climbing mercury and everyone else was working Bloody Marys and Hudy's I was hungsville and needed caffeine. Can't get started without it, its the first breath of the morning.

yeah, nasty right? still had lip gloss on it too, that cup went right back.

did i say it was hot? yes and now I ready for the Morlien beer truck, hadn't been to a SSOM this year so I was already tasting a Northern Liberties IPA and walking around listen'n to the band. Except this year is different, no more beer, no more bands. how to take something awesome and make it a little less awesome. sometimes i hate the change i complain about everyone else hating.

in the end, hanging out, talking to Leisa and Randy at their temporary gallery and sucking their cool air helped. but desperate times and all we headed home where it didn't get any better, i proceeded to smash my favorite beer glass on the deck with 3/4 of an Ithaca Flower Power inside.
Ok, fine, now i'm done.
