I don’t get The Office, maybe the humor is too sophisticated and therefore shoots straight over my head. Never been a big fan of Steve Carell either but there you go. NPR interviewed him last weekend and I enjoyed it, so maybe I just don’t like the parts he picks to portray. Towards the end of the interview he was asked a question and replied, “If you don’t know a Michael Scott in your workplace, you are Michael Scott”

The pictures were acquired using a "camera trap," a camera wired with motion sensors to automatically take photos when the sensors detect movement in the camera's field of view. Camera traps are widely used in carnivore research because they help document the behavior and distribution of these more elusive, often-nocturnal animals. This camera somehow survived the fire.
At 4:50 a.m. PST on Oct. 22, 2007, a coyote runs into the wash fleeing from the fires.

They pulled off the nasty awnings, cleaned and painted the facade. The building looks really nice now, I wonder if they'll incorporate the old business name or cover it up, I like how it looks right now.
I had half the summer off and every time I walked past this place it smelled so good. But 98 – 101° in August isn’t the optimal time for piping hot comfort food. Finally yesterday a day off and I walk over and grab one. Was it worth the wait? Not bad, I wouldn’t pass up Javier’s for it, but I would get it again. The Christian Moerlein Winter Warmer Ale went with it perfectly.
The plate is one of the last of a set my mom got for a wedding present, so it’s older than I am. A while back on a chilly Saturday morning one exploded, split into three peices and jumped off the counter when I sat a hot piece of toast on it.
Sean Fisher over at buycincy had a pretty good write-up of Bromwell’s last week. But one thing he forgot to mention, the store kitties! I didn’t get the name of the one, but Cinder, followed us around from room to room never letting us get within arm’s reach. After awhile I guess he’d learned enough and jumped up on a chair and started cooing and purring away. So even if you don’t need a fireplace, you could always use a new friend.

Isn't the sense of smell the one sense that drags out the deepest and most intense memories? Upon ordering breakfast I was handed a coffee cup and presented with a small selection of flavors. Grogg! haven't had that in years, the first stream into the cup and all these memories of the Beat Coffee House in Youngstown came flooding back. Haven't been there forever but that was our Saturday morning spot while there.
Normaly our Saturday breakfast is light but when told they carried Jean-Francois's waffles we caved like the Bengals "D" against Brady. I'm glad Jackie had told us they would be open today, and as a bonus we had the pleasure of meeting Mike from CityKin and chatting for a little while.
Enzo's is going to be open for the next few Saturday's to test the weekend market so I better see you there next Saturday, I'm keeping score.
As we pull into the alley off Race that leads to the Gramercy Parking Garage, there were a ton of people and cars blocking the alley, “Come on” this seems to happen once in awhile and its always frustrating. But we got them to move and then we saw what was happening WOW is that crazy or what. On the top parking level where we park I noticed Adam's truck wasn’t in its usual spot and Ms. 5chw4r7z and I were both thinking Holy Crap, I jumped out of the car and raced over but it had Ohio plates so I was relived then we both thought that our apartment is directly above that spot and ran there but of course everything was ok. Out on the street we see Adam and laughingly tell him for a minute we thought it was him and he says “Oh no, it was me!” OH MAN so that was our excitement for the evening.
So if you couldn’t travel 7th between Elm and Race Friday evening thank Adam.
