So I'm in the rubber capital of the world this weekend for my sister's wedding. This is the first time I've "filled" the tank since mid-April. I think I can honestly say I've never spent this much for a tank of gas in this car. Can't imagine what people with SUVs and 20 gallon gas tanks are doing.

Pool bloggin II

The Mexicans call this chelada, but I was sceptical because it breaks a whole mess of beer laws. But its actually pretty good, cut a lime slice thick and crush it in the bottom of a glass. Fill to the top with ice and then your favorite beer. I chose a Mexican beer since, it is a Mexican drink. Hold it to your forehead and exhale with a big AHHH for maximum effect. Don't get too pretentious with the cigar, but don't go cheap either. You'll be able to find me drinking these the rest of the summer.

Pool blogging

You may notice a new look beginning today. I've decided to move into the current century and join the "web 2.0" revolution.
I'm also taking advantage of the weather today and tomorrow and laying around the pool, only 36 vacation days left now.
For some reason, I've never walked west on 7^th St. before, I did this morning and found the Cincinnati Venus.

So at one time when I was younger I was a huge car/bike nut. I still am to a degree but living downtown I'm not as car-centric as I used to be. But there is still something about the first couple really nice weekends of the spring, you haven't seen anything but salt covered cars for the last 8 months and then there it is, sitting in a parking lot, the first really crazy car of spring. More times than not, it’s not really your cup of tea but you can still appreciate it.

Cincinnati Supper Club

Thanks to Michelle Lightfoot and her fiancé Chad Munitz for hosting and cooking an awesome dinner last night at the Shillito. Good company and conversation all evening. And also lest I forget thanks Jackie for inviting us.

The weather today was so nice, cool and clear we decided to walk to OTR for the Second Sunday. As usual when walking around downtown Cincinnati you can't walk two blocks without running into someone you know and today was no exception, but then, thats the beauty of dense urban life right? Word of advice don't put off visiting the beer trailer because they start cleaning up and hour earlier then everyone else.

This is waaaaaaayyyyyy late but we went to McCormick & Schmick's to celebrate Ms. 5chw4r7z's birthday.
Don't even bother asking, you know shes 29!

Autumedia

We went to the multi-media show last night called Autumedia. This was part of Cincinnati's 20/20 celebration. It was "interesting". There were some neat displays and we ran into some people we know down here so that was cool. The one thing I want to know is how come when someone has an Avante Garde art show they have to play wacked out music? Anyhow, they were projecting video that was created at Media Bridges onto the walls of various buildings in Over The Rhine.
