Findlay Market

We've turned this into a tradition since we've moved to Cincinnati, we go to Findlay Market once a year whether we need to or not. This year we've been there twice.
I know!
Crazy right?
Anyhow, Jean-Francois moved deeper inside the Market House into a real spot instead of the table he occupied by the door. We got our waffles with fruit and whipped cream, totally decadent but also expensive. Did I miss it somewhere, is there anywhere to get a normal breakfast at Findley?
And while I'm on that subject what about bread? I mean I found bread, but say I want to buy mets, what then? Do I have to drive to a regular store for hoggie buns?
The rest of the morning was spent buying flowers and herbs and visiting our friends at Market Wines.

Side Note: We've been carting along reusable canvas bags for groceries for about a year now and almost everyone at Findlay uses them also. What really surprised me though, checking out at Biggs Hyde Park Sunday morning, I looked around, everyone in other lines at that time were loading groceries into reusable bags.
Interesting.

  1. Nice pictures! I was there myself on Saturday and enjoyed one of those tasty Belgium waffles.

  2. Try Aunt Flora's for your 'normal' breakfast foods. I haven't eaten breakfast there personally, but I hear her breakfast sandwiches are excellent.
