paying the Lebron tax on Lebronless basketball downtown
We had bought the tickets last year expecting to see the chosen one, but it was not foretold this would happen, sadly Olandra frowned on us and Lebron would sun himself in Miami. What ya gonna do? Talked to a couple guys walking in with their families and one told me he bought 10 tickets, some quick math, that's almost $600. Some serious chedda to not see the guy you paid to see.
But I've never seen a NBA game before so it was gonna be interesting anyhow.
Tipoff!
When I think of a cavalier, I think horses and armor and stuff.
and why's he have a c-paw on his back?
T.O. at a couple times had huge crowds around him until his handlers pushed them back. I almost felt sorry for him with everyone staring like he was a zoo animal or something. almost.
and they say Cincinnati isn't a basketball town. Someone said they heard there were 6,000 people there. only if T.O.'s ego counts for 5,000 and change.
someone help a guy out, whats the bonus for? Do they get extra points for baskets when thats lit?
Froget LeBron? lets just froget the whole thing

5chw4r7z! Awesome photos. I can't believe there's that few people there. I wonder if it's cause no one here really likes the NBA, LeBron's gone, people realize the US Bank Arena sucks for basketball and most events in general or that it's just a pre-season game? Regardless, your pictures really capture the event. Were all four sides of the scoreboard jumbotron working? When I worked security there two sides were rear projection, two sides were pixels and half the time none of the sides worked at all.

Did you apply some kind of filter to the people in the background?
Again, great shots.
The crowd was all concentrated into the center sections. I'm thinking there were maybe a thousand people. I bet if Lebron was there, the crowd would have been huge, you know half the Bengals would have been there.
ReplyDeleteAs for the pictures, photoshop smart filter.
Cincinnati is a nice basketball town, just not pro. The region supports two top-tier college basketball programs to the fullest, and the Surge at Cincinnati State and Norse at NKU are both very good in their respective divisions. Plus, it's preseason...who cares.
ReplyDeleteThe bonus is when a team has committed 10 fouls. Once they commit those 10 fouls, the other teams goes into the "bonus." This means that on non-shooting fouls, the team in the bonus gets to take two free throw shots no matter what. When you are not in the bonus you only get one shot with a second shot only if you make the first...and this "1 and 1" opportunity comes when the other team has fouled you 7 times.
