Nicola's
When we got an email from Kate inviting us to Nicola's last Saturday, I didn't have to think twice, I replied by email and text with a resounding YES!
You know how it goes, its never the right time, or occasion or whatever, but we were done procrastinating and had to check out what everyone else has been going gaga about for all these years. And It didn't disappoint, amazing. This is what manual labor tastes like folks, absolutely amazing.
The sun was just setting as we set out from Kate's lofty OTR loft and the light was amazing.
For a second we thought we were going to witness a recreation of the Hindenburg crash.
We could have eaten these artisan breads all night, we need to go one night and try to do just that.
deconstructed cheesecake.
has the whole deconstructed food movement passed?
hell no it hasn't and there's a good reason why, when done right its ambrosia.
The downside, you just knew there was gonna be one didn't you, its crazy expensive, like I just ate at Local127 and Senate in one night expensive. But for something special, sometimes you need to take that pry bar to the wallet.

A fantastic evening! I am eating my leftovers for lunch :)
ReplyDeleteIf I had leftovers, no way they would have made it past yesterday morning.
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious!
ReplyDeleteIt's been awhile since I ate there but the food & service were great. The staff was really good with my mom in a wheelchair, too.
