Ludlow Bromley Yacht Club
Everyone has that one friend, you ignore their praise and criticism at your own peril. Years and years ago Jackie raved about Ludlow Bromley and I filed it away as a place I needed to visit one day. But that day never came.
Until Kate planned a tweetup there for left-handed day. Now I'm not left handed but I'm not missing out on hanging out with cool friends and finding out what the yacht club was all about.
And its all about this, a giant Tiki bar floating on the Ohio River, it has all the necessary surf boards, palm trees and neon signs for entry into the Tiki club.
One thing I wish I had know before going, they don't only take cash, so you've been warned.
The food is what I'd call high end bar food, thats not a slam, just reality. And I get cravings for battered fish all the time, and they're the first place hit the mark for exactly what I want in battered fish.

Monday night [I think] is "cook your own steak" night -- you pay a set price for a baked potato and other sides plus a slab of raw meat, and there's a bunch of grills set up for your own grilling. It's freaking awesome!
ReplyDeleteWell then, I can't possibly not try that can I?
ReplyDeleteWait, you said they don't take cash, I think you meant they *only* take cash.
ReplyDeleteOOPS, you're right, I did mean that.
ReplyDeleteThat place has gotten fancier since I was last there. Is beer still only in cans?
