Jim Tarbell you wild, beautiful thing. you crazy handful of nothin'
And to think I almost wimped out and stayed home, I would have never forgiven myself. It was getting late, I was drinking comfortably on the couch, you know the drill.
Everyone is tweeting from Arnolds.

But then, Ms. 5chw4r7rz comes chugging down the steps with a full head of steam, come'om we're going.
So, go we did, and what a great time it was, part Myntup from Friday and part broomball.(the friends that is, not Arnold's)
VEE OH ELL VEE OH, o o o, VEE OH ELL VEE OH, my Volvo girl
Jake Speed singing about Cincinnati, and up walks the personification of Cincinnati, Jim Tarbell.

Dang it, I was there and somehow missed all the fun! Seeing Jim Tarbell sing would have been worth the ass-to-elbow crowd, lack of OTR and sour tasting Lager. Moerlein reps were also promised to be there with food made of Moerlein and passging out swag, but I didn't see any of that either. Thanks for sharing your pics. -Heather513
ReplyDeleteOH yeah, all the Moerlien was gone when I got there, I consoled myself with $1.50 Hudys.
ReplyDeleteI really wish I was in town for this. I was in NYC and missed the last show they did at Northside.
ReplyDeleteWas Jake singing Heywood Bank's "Big Butter Jesus?" Just curious as Heywood is on youtube singing on stage with his hands in the air with the same posture..and LOVE the BBJ tune. :)
ReplyDelete$1.50 Hudys, what a steal!
When i went to Arnold's in the late 80's Tarbell used to park his bike in the courtyard didn't he?..course, as the then owner he could do whatever he wanted..or maybe rt outside the door...been a few years :-) Nice to see Arnold's doing Special events.
Thanks to everyone that joined us at Arnold's Saturday. Sorry we ran out of draft. First time for this event so will know better next time. If Jim Tarbell wanted to park his bike right in the middle of the courtyard he would, he does pretty much what he wants to. He's a great guy in my book!
