As seen through the eyes of imagination.
And this definately makes a call, I'm always a sucker for the label and almost always buying a book for its cover. That said, I'm still geeking out over The Kraken Black Spiced Rum.
From the shape of the bottle, I picture a pirate with his finger in the handle slurping this over his arm, the the monochromatic label, it calls out to me.

as the snow melts off I uncover long buried, ok from last week, posts.
Such as my mad quest for Fever-Tree ginger beer that took us waaaaay out to Dilly cafe. Normally a trip of this magnitude would require planning not unlike an African safari. But hey, this is 2010 and we all have cell phones and a credit card. What the hell could happen out there in the wilds anyhow right?
OK, there are still street lights. When they stop, so do I.
I don't know why but Brooklyn brewery has it in for me. Brooklyn beer is like my own personal Omar,
"All in the game yo, all in the game."
And last time I did, I was. But this time, with a drive home, somehow I reined it in.
Like I always say, the label grabs me every time. I grabbed a couple IPAs along with the ginger beer.

I'm glad thats all over, what is there to do on snow days?
Shop, eat. All of which costs money which I wouldn't be spending if I was working. The chick in TJMax says, the roads are too bad to go to work but you can drive in here? I'm like dude, we live 3 blocks away!
Then random invites to lunch. OK, how can I complain about lunch at Via Vite with incredible company, Ms 5chw4r7z and AmyFab?
I can't so I won't.

Back in the day, you know, the long ago days when I walked to school.
In the snow.
Up hill.
Both ways.
Hot dogs were simple.
Some onions, mustard, katsup and for the crazies living on the edge, relish.
Well Cincinnati your hotdog has gone upscale. Introducing Senate, the hotdog stand that got a make-over and bought a sophisticated loft in The Q. That plain old hotdog will never again be the same. Gourmet street food has hit the big time and apeared on the scene at Senate, with a wood fired grill, the dogs are grilled, the buns toasted for the descriminating tastes.
Along with a nice selection of micro beers and wines, you can't go wrong. And the bonus to being the hippest trendy dog shop? You're in the Q, the hippest trendy neighborhood in the city.

In what has been the most hyped, anticipated and ok, at least since I've been in Cincinnati, the most controversial show, Fairey's Supply and Demand opened Friday to what had to be record crowds. I heard stories that at one point the line stretched to 7th St while we wandered the gallery amazed. I'm not going to rehash what Fairey's critics have claimed, its all been said too many times. I think my definition of art, "does it raise strong emotions?" has been fully met by Fairy. Love him or hate him everyone has strong opinions. I've never discussed art with a more diverse group of people before.
Upon entering the galleries and finally getting a close up look at his work my biggest surprise was the depth and layers in even the simplest of his compositions. The longer it was studied them, the more details revealed themselves.
Mr. Fairey, well done.
