frosty's got nothin on us

Its snows and everything within three states is closed, a good day to sleep in!
Wrong!
We're wide awake at 7am making coffee and watching news. I see a twitter from jackie that she's up too.
sweet.
Bundle up and make our way out to get some breakfast. Ms. 5chw4r7z has a tape measure and drifts in Garfield park are over 30" deep.
We find a man standing outside First watch looking like his dog just died. "truly Armageddon if First Watch is closed" he said. What could we do but nod our heads in agreement and disappointment?

On to Ingredients, it has to be open, its attached to a hotel.
yeah! it is, the girls working say the hotel put them up for the night so they could open this morning, mini vacations for them.
We see that guy again and make small talk, turns out he's from Niles, Ohio. just down the street from where we lived in Y-town.
How crazy is that?
More tromping around in snow, we're cold, hit TJ max, well absolutely nothing else is open what could we do?
Found some awesome shorts I had wanted all last summer.
I know, theres a blizzard raging and I'm buying shorts at TJ max.
Now we're starving, calls for lunch at Margarita's, this snow is really causing us to slum it today, but oh well, an unordinary day calls for unordinary travels.
