Cincy Summer Streets - Walnut Hills

A couple more progressive cities host what is called Summer Streets. An idea that closes down streets to cars and reclaim the public spaces for people.
Walking, biking and playing.
I always thought that after Quall's was elected mayor we could see what we could do to organize something downtown linking Washington Park and The Banks. Well needless to say that plan is on hold for a few years until we get a new mayor. But the next best thing to that is what Cincinnati did get, Cincy Summer Streets. An easier approach and baby steps to what I imagined. Closing down two streets in a neighborhood. Walnut Hills in this case. If even a few people walked away thinking about how city streets don't have to be a racetrack for people to get their cars from one location to another then I think it was a success.
If you didn't make this one or even know about it you have another chance in the Northside on August 24th.
