Vhils at The BLDG

Good things are cheap. ~Japanese proverb

Sometimes I get the impression people think city living is expensive. Sure you can spend as much as you want, if thats what you want.
You can also have a damn good time spending nothing.
Friday night we hopped over to Covington to the BLDG gallery for the Vhils print reveal "Fading Remains". Interesting technique on these wood blocks, they look like prints until you get close and notice the etchings.
Said some hellos, pressed some flesh, said some goodbyes.
This block of Covington is cool, need to get back over there exploring sometime.

Next hop was the "Kids View" opening at Prairie, with eats from Take the Cake, OMG brownies with walnuts and a caramel drizzle? que eyes and tongues doing back flips.
Anyhow, "Kids View" is a project to connect kids with their community through photography. The subject of this show being Cincinnati Golden Gloves participants. The pictures were amazing, those kids have skillz.
A whole date night on the cheap, didn't cost a dime.
UPDATE: Interesting that there is a letter to the editor in the Enquirer from someone in Anderson complaining how expensive it is to live downtown.
