The kitefest lucked out with one good sunny windy day over the weekend. Unfortunately I got burned to a crisp. After Saturday night, when I used the Lensbaby at the Rollergirls match and was disappointed at the results, Sunday I discovered the forte of the Lensbaby, brilliant sunshine. OK, maybe that's the strength of every lens, but the Lensbaby did a good job capturing the kites and kids struggling to fly them.
Attending one of these things challenges your definition of what a kite is, anything imaginable that will fly was fluttering in the wind.
We weren't the only ones taking pictures, if someone wasn't holding a kite string they were holding a camera. No gray area here.
