OTR/Gateway Quarter construction
This past Saturday a group of bloggers were treated to a sneak peak of 3 new buildings in the Gateway Quarter. The area is growing by leaps and bounds and as the blocks just north of Central are built out and sold the rehabbing has now moved north of 14th.
The first stop, 1411 Vine, a 1,500+ SF commercial building in the middle of Parvis Lofts is going to be leased out as one unit, it has an incredible sky light and glass floor to provide natural light and just a touch of anxiety when stepping out onto the clear surface.
Our second stop was Saengerhalle which is 32,000 SF of commercial office space with the exception to the restaurant space on the south end of the first floor. Currently it is occupied by 3CDC and the NorthPointe Group with expectations and hope a restaurant will also open in the building.
How would you like working in this building with these views?
The next project we toured, Westfalen is just steps from Washington Park. Westfalen has the high end kitchens and baths you'd expect in high end homes. Well, I guess these will be high end homes when finished.
City Home has the farthest to go, kitchens and baths were in progress, not much to see but the views. The streetcar will literally run past the doorstep and sitting on the expansive porches will provide wide open vistas of Washington Park. I'm making friends with someone who moves in here because it will be remarkable when finished.
Visit the Gateway Quarter's website for more information.
This post has been updated with corrected information, Parvis Lofts was previously misidentified as Saengerhalle. Saengerhalle has been added with corresponding pictures from that space. Thanks The Boilover.

Great pictures. I like how you went 50/50 with the lensbaby and regular lens.
ReplyDeleteIt really bugs me that in the first picture Tribeca is apparently in a different time zone. :)
i looked into moving into Parvis Lofts before settling on Shillito. It really is amazing what they've done with that area since i first moved to Cincinnati. All the materials and work seem to be top notch too.
ReplyDeleteLove the pix!
ReplyDeleteThe building with the 3 story skylight is commercial, but that's actually in Parvis.
nicker66: maybe New York observes daylight savings a week before us?
ReplyDeletedestroy alkaline: OTR isn't even the same place it was 6 years ago, its amazing.
theboilover: thanks man, I hope I got it all right this go around.
I hope my work doesn't move into that building with the glass floor.. it'll be very hard for me to wear my kilt in true Scotsman manner.
