The Banks are rising
It will never happen, the haters insisted
Cincinnati is 20yrs behind the times.
Theres no political will.
I'll believe it when I see it.
Nothing ever changes in Cincinnati.
Until it did.
The people of Cincinnati finally stood up and demanded more.
2008 they elected leaders who would drive that change.
And we're getting it.
The Banks
The Streetcar
Washington Park
A hundred other little things we had to vote dead woood out to get rolling.
What other great things can Cincinnati accomplish when city leaders ignore the noise makers?
it all looks better than I was expecting from the renderings.
I can't wait to hit the Moerlein Lager House

And meanwhile Newport's Ovation project is asking for a 5 year extension. According to the haters schedule, it was going to be done before the Banks!
ReplyDeleteYes, the progress is very exciting. It certainly didn't seem like anything was going to happen. This was part of the 1996 stadium deal and took a ridiculous amount of time to start.
ReplyDeleteI still talk to people who haven't been downtown in ages. They seem unsure that The Banks will be "a destination." I would bet the bank on this place. All anyone has to do is go down there and walk around. There's a sort of energy there that's in the air.
ReplyDeleteThe Moerlein Lager House, cannot wait.
ReplyDeleteDang, chills, Bob! Chills.
