Myrtle’s Punch House
In addition to a sneak peak of Myrtle’s Punch House last night we got an update on all the happenings going on in East Walnut Hills. It seems that Molly Wellmann's new place is leading the charge on a rash of new bars and restaurants. New Orleans To Go, the food truck serving authentic Louisiana Cajun and Creole cuisine is opening a brick and mortar restaurant called Mardi Gras on Madison. O Pie O baking pies at Findlay Market is setting down roots in Desales Corner. And of course the Growler House for beer and then whatever restaurant opens in the Bank Building. Desales Corner is soon to be a destination in its own right.
Someone mentioned to me how East Walnut Hills kind of exploded overnight. But I know better, just like every other overnight sensation there were many many people, among them the DeSales Corner Development Corporation who have worked tirelessly for years to make this happen.
To everyone who missed out on the goldrush in OTR, heads up, look a little east for the next big neighborhood.
Some shots from Myrtle’s Punch House, the grand opening is Novermber 28th, stop in and check it out.
