WoW :: Walk on Woodburn

This Walk on Woodburn included a Biergarten & ArtGarden on Woodburn Ave which I thought was a really good idea to give people a reason to hang out for a little bit. These walks are reminding me of a mini Final Friday. Reminds me more of Final Friday than Final Fridays does these days as the galleries on Main St. slowly disappear.
At any rate I bumped into Danny K. and he asked what I was doing in Walnut Hills and wasn't it a little out of my elemnet. On second thought he said this is exactly your element.
Yes, yes it is. I love these authentic noncurrated events.
They were celebrating at Manifest as they debuted their newly opened North Gallery.

Pique Galleria a new art gallery that featured a couple Visionaries and Voices artists including Kevin White. We own a work by Kevin so it was interesting talking to him and his mother about his work.

ParProjects (Professional Artistic Research Projects) with their traveling art gallery in the lot across from Manifest will also be open this Wednesday-Saturday, Noon-7PM
ParProjects is displaying the model of their future home which will be made of 17 shipping containers and feature kinetic art.
Jonathan Sears tells me they are getting closer than ever to having a permanent home when I talked to him Friday night. They lost their original spot but realistically he told me he always knew that corner in the Northside would be developed and he has two backup spots in mind for ParProjects new home.
FYI: this is not Jonathan, its the irrepressible David Heyburn

There was also a a pop-up shop by Visionaries and Voices in the Biergarten with some really cool, inexpensive items. most likely you can't afford a $10K work by Courtney Cooper, but a bag or t-shirt with a print on it? Well within reach.
