Mainstrasse Summer Race Series
Just when you think you've seen everything there is too see in Cincinnati, BAMM! you see something else.
Still I'm kind of bummed I didn't discover this race series until now when there is only one race to go. How much cooler can this get? Grab a beer, sit at a cafe and watch the bikes go past. This can't be far off what the Tour de France feels like to watch in person.
I need my cowbell, a pitchfork and a devils suit and I'm ready to go.

I was in Paris in '99 watching Lance cross the finish line to win his 2nd Tour. It was then I realized that road racing might actually be kinda cool.....MTB is still way better tho....

ReplyDeleteI went to a bike race in Covington years ago. Anybody in that race is retired now - years ago.....
I thought the same thing about it having a European kinda feel. I liked the sound of all the freewheels coasting into turns & the bikes on the bricks. It's a lot different than auto racing as it's so quiet.
Is there anything like this in Mt Adams?

WOW, a Mt Adams bike race would be brutal, but it would be awesome for spectators.
