Cincinnati ArtWorks power2give Website Unveiling
The who and what;
Who: ArtWorks in partnership with The Johnson Foundation
What: ArtWorks power2give.org Launch Party, featuring the official unveiling of Cincinnati’s new nonprofit crowdfunding website for arts and cultural projects, power2give.org/Cincinnati. The party included Microsoft Tablets so attendees could learn about and support projects. Food was provided by FUSIAN Sushi and Dojo Gelato.
power2give.org is an online cultural marketplace designed to connect donors with projects they are passionate about. Specifically, the site allows cultural organizations to post and promote projects in need of funding and invites donors to contribute directly to the projects that are most intriguing to them.
Here are three examples of the many projects you can help fund,
- The North Avondale Mural project. It is already 80% funded, having raised $6,000.
- The Girl Power! project by Kennedy Heights Arts Center has already raised $1000 in just 4 days!
- Downtown Cincinnati is Our Art Gallery! Turning bus shelters into art galleries and adding two new murals downtown.
And the most exciting aspect of helping these arts projects is that when you give your donation will be matched dollar for dollar up to $50,000 thanks to a grant from The Johnson Foundation. Even small gifts will make a big difference in Cincinnati and the 2,500 students Artworks will employ this summer.
