The life cycle of the newest bar in OTR is getting shorter and shorter. Bakersfeild was the newest for only a week before the 1215 Coffee Lab and Wine Bar opened this past weekend.
As 1215 has an almost non-existent kitchen the food is created by Cooking with Caitlin in her catering kitchen and then finished on site. We didn't eat this trip through but I've had Cooking with Caitlin's food before so it will measure up well with the other gastro pubs on Vine.

Sunday morning's at 1215 will be all about picking your poison. Do you need the Bloody Mary bar? A mimosa? or an espresso?
That all depends on what happened Saturday night.
Did they reinvent espresso in OTR? No that would be silly. But not that silly. Saturday morning Dojo Gelato served up a cup of 3rd Coast Mad Cap espresso which at the time I thought was the best I've tasted. That is until Sunday morning when I tried Tazza Mia's "sweet beard" blend espresso that was every bit as good. Which was better? I'd have to try them back to back to be sure, its too close to call.
In the battle for our coffee taste buds in OTR we're all winners.
