Rogue Chipotle Ale
I'm not sure exactly why I grabbed this beer, it seemed like a good idea at the time, but when I got it home I had buyers remorse big time.
Cigar thirty yesterday after work and there's no use having this thing sit in the fridge all summer while I blatantly ignore it hoping it will grow legs and go away.
I open it up, not much bouquet, pour it and I really like the color. The taste, wow a 2x4 to the forehead of Chipotle, it doesn't taste artificial at all, just strong, no way I'll be able to drink this whole thing, too much.
But surprisingly, once I got into the meat of a Honduran Estate cigar, they perfectly complimented each other and everything worked out and was actually pretty good.
It was a good one off beer, but don't think I'll buy another.

That beer was good yesterday, but it hung around long enough to encumber your workout today didn't it?
ReplyDeleteI don't see how anything could taste bad on that balcony!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great beer, and goes very well with a number of foods.
ReplyDeleteDon't go in closed minded, explore a little more, get off your damn geekery blog, and enhance your palate.
I thought by trying a Chipotle beer I was exploring a little.
ReplyDeleteI think you need to do a bit on "beer for non-beer drinkers" (like me). I seriously grab the cheapest thing and end up regretting it.
ReplyDeleteAt least it wasn't Rogue Dead Guy - hope the Chipotle one is better.
