The Know's latest production, Reefer Madness: The Musical, a campy look at 1930's drug abuse hysteria is a light hearted good time. Of course it deals with some serious issues, but always in the silliest way possible. The cast was perfectly cast, with Courtney Brown as Mary and Daniel Hines as Jimmy. The deadpan narration by Ty Yadzinski also helped set the tone.
The concept of the play is based on the 1936 movie Reefer Madness with Jimmy Harper's drug induced rampage of sex and violence.
It bounced around between Mary and Jimmy around town and the drug house where Jack the dealer rules with an iron fist. I especially liked how Sally, one of the drug house girls, always called it "The STUFF"
Go see Reefer Madness but stay away from the Mary Jane!
