The Dublin Pub, eating and drinking in Dayton.
Thanks to everyone who sent in suggestions yesterday and helped me out. I finally decided to go to the Dublin Pub on the edge of the Oregon District. Couldn't have made a better choice, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food inexpensive and tasty. It wouldn't be fair to make any judgments on the neighborhood because it was a very cold Tuesday night so I need to go back sometime when its warmer, Fifth Street looked very interesting with all the galleries and cafe's.
Quote of the evening, on the phone to his wife,
Wiscott: You can't give up sex for Lent, you're not Catholic!
5chw4r7z: besides she has to give up something she enjoys.
Wiscott: F U 5chw4r7z!
Thanks, just like old times.
VeggieOption; they still have a humidor, but it was cold so we didn't inquirer about smoking, bummer, Wiscott and I have smoked more than a few cigars together over the years.
Dublin Pub was an old gas station. One of the best re-uses for one I've seen.
ReplyDeleteAh, those photos make me a little homesick.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you enjoyed it. It's a pretty nice little place, although it gets crazy crowded on the weekends when they have bands.
Their potato soup is to die for. I haven't been there in ages-- I sense a field trip!
