your next best burger

While you sit peacefully at home on your couch blissfully unaware and watching Ultimate catch there's a war being waged on the streets of Cincinnati.
A life and death, give no quarter continual arms race and one up-manship.
They say in war there are no winners.
WRONG

Talking burgers last week with the 'Nomerati, she suggested we hit up The Rookwood on a Wednesday for their build your own burger special.
Whats that all about I asked?
dunno, that's why we need to go
Plus they give out a prize for the most creative burger.
Lets see, bacon check. fried bologna check. oh yeah liken this already.
and right about here my photo skills began to fail me

old skool, juice running down you hands, flavor packed burger.
this cannot be good for you, oh no, but it tastes sooo good.
And guess what, at the end of the meal the cook came out to talk to the 'Nomerati for her creation the "keep it classy" burger. All I remember is she had Velveeta on it, and that pushed it over the edge for him, so sometime soon she'll be back up there for a burger on the cooks tab.

We're all winners in the battle for Cincinnati's best burger. I don't know where it can go from here given the laws of diminishing returns, I'm left to splitting hairs now over a couple of the best burgers, but the Rookwood couple possibly have the best hamburger in Cincinnati.

it was a rainy night, candy

As shocking as this will be to people, there's tons out there to do in Cincinnati at any one moment, you just can't pack it all in. Take tonight for example there are like 4 huge HUGE parties going on we'd desperately like to go to. But the party at our place takes precedence, and its free! HA, can't beat that, and the drunk drive home will be mercifully short.
While we should have been home resting up and conserving strength last night, the Metromix party called like a siren song, so off we went.
Man, those guys were going at it like a 70's coke fueled rock band, so here's to many more.

Apparently there was some kind of cake eating contest going on right behind us.
DUH! oblivious!
we turned just in time for the high fives.

Cool thing about these events is 1. they're cool and 2. you meet all kinds of interesting people.
I found CandicKY on FaceBook last week and we had 26 friends in common and I know all of them in real life. How the hell do I not know her? It turns out I had met her breifly at a party and re-met her again last night. And she is pro city too, cool, got some interesting info on upcoming developments in OTR. Here she is dancing last night.

the Brodi3mans @City View Tavern, exactly how many beers are a few?

Seems I'm on a burger quest lately and City View's have been the best I've had. And the cheapest. Is there a correlation there? Sitting out on the deck wasn't unbearable either last night with a good breeze blowing up the hill.

Longworth's

Saturday turned out to be a really awesome day so we strolled to Longworth's and Mt. Adams for lunch. Only about a 25 minute walk from 7th and Race downtown, of course, it was a 25 minute walk straight uphill, but it helped walk off that huge lunch.
