Second Sunday on Main

July's Second Sunday on Main, held on a day when there were many competing events downtown was slammed, I couldn't get over the solid expanse of people from 12th to Liberty on Main St. It was crazy. It had to be their biggest event yet although I haven't heard any estimates.

Here is a tip for you if you didn't make it to SSOM. Next Saturday, July 18th is The City Flea, it starts at 10am. If I was you I would be there at 10am looking for Brown Bear Bakery and when I found her I'd buy one of everything she has. The salted caramel brownie is pure crack BTW.

Every has its own theme and flavor. July's theme was Pride and to celebrate they hosted drag races. Now in and of its self I could care less about them. But to tempt all the ambivalent people like me to watch they sell water balloons to raise money for charity. Sure throwing them is fun, but even better is watching the young kids throw the balloons! Ms. 5chw4r7z and I were debating which would make you a worse parent, taking a kid to a drag race or encouraging them to throw water balloons at strangers? LOL, JK
