Urban Basin Bicycle Club
Its that time of year again, when bicyclist from all the the Cincinnati basin, the rim and NKY meet on Tuesday Nights at 6:30pm on Fountain Square. Yes its the Urban Basin Bicycle Club and riders of all ages and skill levels are welcome. The rides meander around the basin at a conversational pace. I call it that because although the ride isn't slow, it isn't so fast that one rider can't socialize with another. Along with the comradery of fellow riders, newbies can get used to riding on city streets and realize traffic is no where near as scary as people imagine. And while we acclimate to riding and socializing again there is always something new to learn about the city. For the rides go places we'd never reach walking and we'll see things that would shoot past in a car.
What more could you ask for? Fresh air, new sights to see and streets to discover. Whats that? You ask for a drink at the end? The Urban Basin Bicycle Club has you covered there also with a debriefing at a local adult beverage establishment after every ride.

The 2 JBs Presents the Spot...
ReplyDeleteJust south of that used to be The Mars Hill Baptist Church.
First time I rode through that area I was scared to death. It was a Sunday morning in the spring & the doors were open & people were singing at the church.
