Cincinnati Street Food Festival

After the pleasant surprise last year at the turnout for the inaugural Street Food Festival in Walnut Hills I thought I had a good idea what to expect this year. But this year, this year I was even more surprised, it was a scene. Two blocks of food trucks packed with people. Walnut Hills has been building momentum for over a year now and its beginning to show.
Here's a tip for the other neighborhoods in the city wondering where their piece of the pie is. No one is going to wave a magic wand and make it happen. Talk to the people from Walnut Hills Redevelopment Foundation and see what they've been doing, things like traveling to other cities to see what those neighborhood leaders have tried and accomplished.
And it sounds silly but a hashtag for twitter and instagram go a long way. Just ask OTR about #thisisotr. Walnut Hills was busy booting up #wearewalnuthills with a photobooth capturing photos of neighbors all afternoon.

  1. that little girl to the left of the Dillingham sign looks like she's about to launch an attack, shooting energy blasts out of her fingertips
