Bike the Streetcar Route

A nice easy ride around the CBD/OTR Streetcar route and a nice day to do it. I don't know if you've noticed but it seems like everyday there are more and more bikes downtown, and I have to imagine when the streetcar goes through and carless people begin pouring in there will only be more so it kind of makes sense someone organized this ride. With the mayor giving us a send off we were on our way. We only did the phase 1 loop, we weren't too keen on chugging up Vine St although I've done it a half dozen times now riding to work.
The only real wrinkle was getting everyone through the lights, but it was a cool day and it was no problem stopping and waiting for people.

JT was jumping off every curb and everything else he could find, until it all went horribly horribly wrong.

no blogosphere for old men

ever have one of those nights? you're at a beerfest, its flowing like water. you keep running into friends which only increases your intake. next thing you know, you're staggering around, its 2am and you're at Lucy Blue on walnut buying pizza.
kinda sums up the whole weekend for me. now not everyone is on the Lucy Blue bandwagon and thats fine because truth be told, i've never had it sober.

as you know, it's always about the journey, never the destination and mostly its the sum of all the drunk'n trips there, laughing and people watching that makes it great. but come on really, greasy pizza in the middle of the night? it really doesn't get any better than that.
but i have to tell you, i think i was one beer away from waking up naked and carless in rabbithash wondering why my tongue hurts so i'm glad Ms. 5chw4r7z and Shebar were able to drag me off the square.

Lackman Bar first look

They didn't have a full tap service or a full compliment of wines, just enough to wet the whistle.
And I was told the very reasonable drink prices were for Sunday only so I guess the beers will be in the OH$h!t$ Senate range.

UPDATE: The Lackman Bar Opens Friday, September 24th located at 1237 Vine St. (corner of 13th and Vine) They will include a full bar and offer a diverse beer selection including 14 beers on tap and over 30 bottled beers covering microbrews, imports and domestics. I'm noticing the lack of mention of wines or cocktails. Interesting.

Cincinnati's original social app

Notice I said "Cincinnati's" because we all know that beer was the very original social app. Getting people laid since... well you know the old saying.
Put them both together, KA-POW, a weekend to remember. Funny, when we moved to Cincinnati and heard about Oktoberfest this is what I imagined it being, tons of delish, incredible beer and people.
So I'm just going with this was the weekend for me, next weeks Oktoberfest? eh? we'll see.
Poor Kristen broke her foot, at Fountain Square ironically and held down a table for us all night. I love the pictures where, while not technically perfect, really captures personality.

Crazy how some people, took me ages to coordinate a beer with JT, then I saw him all weekend.

Parker Flats Friday

As far as this week goes: mission accomplished, its friday, we're outta here, its been a wild week.
sitting on the couch the other day felt a rumble, not the stomach kind, the "WTF is the Hindenburgh about to crash?" kind, jumped up and a ferrari and a Lambo pull out of the alley and head out. pure four wheeled sex on wheels.
