I wish a Dewey's would move downtown but I've heard the Vine St location in The "Q" has fallen through and its not gonnahappen.com on Fountain Square. I hope I'm wrong, anybody out there heard anything different?
At least after 10pm we'll always have Lucy Blue.
FSBL (fountain square broomball league for those of you not in the know)
It was so warm out I couldn't stand to stay inside, we made our way down to Fountain Square to catch some broomball action, we love us some R2 Beat U. Somehow we managed to miss them but you know what? Even if you don't like stick sports go down for the announcers. These two goof-balls (and I mean that as the biggest complement) had us laughing all evening. Don't know how much they get paid but it isn't enough.

I’m a freak, I’ll admit it. I guess this also shows I’ll take a picture almost anywhere. But to continue on my point yesterday, have you ever gone somewhere cool, and then used their restroom and when you walk in they have a ghetto gas station restroom? That stuff ruins my experience every time. The opposite could also be true; a ho-hum old place with an incredible restroom can make my day. This post may be TMI but it underscores the point I was trying to make yesterday, Jean-Robert has left no stone unturned in his quest to hammer out every little detail. I could have grabbed a beer and hung out with friends in there all night. All these little things make Twist my favorite downtown spot.

Pigall’s Twist Lounge & Bar
Jean-Robert will take over the world, thats my prediction. Ms. 5chw4r7z and I finally made it to Pigall’s Twist Lounge & Bar Friday night, WOW thats all I can say.
Was it crazy expensive? Yes.
Was it worth it?
Well I would be lying if I said we couldn't have had just as much fun at Rockin Robin's.
BUT!
If you want an experience where no detail has been over looked, you'll always get what you pay for, and at the Twist Lounge nothing has been taken for granted. It seemed like every 5 minutes something new would present itself for us to marvel at. Incredible. If I could afford it, I would be there every weekend.

Did everyone see this on the news last night? Really dramatic even on TV, it must have been terrible to see in person.
Christian Moerlein Brewing Co. ceremonial tapping the first keg of Moerlein Emancipator at Mount Adams Pavilion
Well the keg tapping was every bit as exciting as I thought it would be. On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being OTR ale I would put the new Doppelbock at a 3, it was ok, but my expectations are so high for Moerlein beer's that anything but a home run is going to be a disapointment to me. Their Winter Warmer on a scale of 1 to 5 by the way is a 7, its like how the French rank the steepest mountains during the Tour, unclassified, or "hors-catégorie".
