walking a new path

I don't know if you are like me, sometimes a creature of habit. If you are and find yourself wearing a path into the sidewalks you walk day after day, I have a challenge for you. Cross the street. Its amazing what you see and how different the city looks by just crossing the street. Walking to Servatii's I bet I step in the exact same place every trip. The other day I crossed the street to walk in the sun, its incredible how different Court St is from a different point of view, and what I've never noticed before.

A Wicked Party

We went to a friends place in Clifton where he hosted a party for the cast of Wicked. This place is incredible, I've been in the foyer before but walking through the rest of the house was jaw dropping. I guess it was built by an industrialist who made tools for wood shaping and the house was a showcase for his products.
Most of the cast had shown up before we left but they were all tired and didn't seem into socializing at midnight, so unfortunately, I didn't get any good pictures of them.

I'm putting away all the birthday cards, and after a week I still crack a big smile when I look at this one, personalized by one of the nephews.

If you save something on a share drive it eventually ends up here. Its about the same size as my apartment.

Cincinnati Supper Club XI

The eleventh edition of Jackie's Cincinnati Supper Club went off without a hitch. Despite a small apartment and maybe over inviting a tiny bit, some last minute panic, one big pot of rice, two of chicken curry, two growlers of Rock Bottom Crowsley Field Pale Ale and four and a half bottles of wine later everyone including me had a good time. Many new faces this month to keep it fresh and new.
Next month is your turn to host, don't be shy.

Cincinnati Supper Club XI, the making of.....

We had a good time and spent most the evening last night making deserts and snacks for the Supper Club tonight. The entree is super secret until tonight. You guys who didn't make the cut can start eating your hearts out right now. We don't have the coolest apartment in Cincinnati, but no one is topping these desserts.

Pot Belly last Saturday

A morning of walking around downtown, it was cool, but what a beautiful afternoon. People out everywhere. I ran into and met for the first time Jayson from Cincy Images, I should have shadowed him and maybe learned something but I was hungry and had been wanting to try Pot Belly. For some reason everytime I had walked down to the Square it was closed but not that day. Spicy Italian, oh yeah that hit the spot, good food, an awesome view, I think Pot Belly is my favorite bang for the buck place to eat downtown now.
